Hello everyone!
My question is how many nights do you think are enough for hiking Yakushima?
Is 3 nights (4 days) will do?
Thank you!

You need at full day to do the Jomonsugi, which translates to a two night stay on the island. Three nights should give you enough time to check out Shiratani Unsuikyo and/or Yakusugiland too at a leisurely pace considering you'll probably be wiped out from the hiking.

It depends on what you are planning to achieve and also the weather.Yakushima is known to attract a lot of rainfall around the year.
We spent 4 days 3 nights last Oct, only managed to hike Yakusugiland, Shiratani Unsuikyo and driving around the island. If the weather was better, we could probably do Jomonsugi as well.

I stayed 3 days and it was enough.
However, it also depends on the season. I went in winter when you couldn't go up to Jomonsugi. Too much snow.
