hello
I will be join hokkaido university this october and will stay just for an year. So is it economically profitable if I stay in university dormitory or take an apartment. I have a boy friend and he will visit sometimes.

It would likely be cheaper in a dorm. When your boyfriend visit you he could rent a double hotel room. It obviously depends on how many times he visit you, how long will he stay each time etc.
Another problem with a furnished apartment, besides the cost, is that it might not be close to university, so there would be transportation costs.
Before making your mind up you need to check all the options..with actual possible accommodations etc.
