Guide services in Kagoshima

I have been searching the web to try and find tours of Kagoshima (besides the bus one in Japanese). We will be in port for one day. We prefer small group or private tours, not fond of ship's tours.

Like other local cities, Kagoshima has not so many foreign tourist so that there are no daily operated tours for English-speaking tourists. There are no companies specialized for foreigners. However, you may want to contact with volunteer guides. I found a JNTO page which describes the local volunteer guides including that in Kagoshima. https://www.jnto.go.jp/eng/arrange/travel/guide/list_volunteerGuides_a...Two organizations exist both of which seem to be operated by English language schools.
