Accomodation Izu Peninsula Atami-Ito-Shimoda

Hi guys,

my friend and I are planing to spend some days at Izu Peninsula during our travel in July.

However, I could hardly find some cheap places to stay. There was only one hostel to be found in Ito. Everything else seems to be quite expensive.

Do you have some good tips for low budget accomodation?

What kind of budget are you looking at? Ito/Izu is a big travel resort (in a way) that it would be difficult to find truly budget place.

I know one place in Kawadu that charges 8,700 yen per person per night (dinner and breakfast included) - a cozy family-run place with hot stone bath as well - would that range be something you would consider?

There is another place in Shimoda, with buffet dinner/breakfast, that I have been thinking of trying because of the good location facing the bay, at around 6,800 yen per person per night.
