Cycling in Shiretoko

I will be going to Shiretoko in begining of July.
I was wondering if it was possible to visit the peninsula by bycicles.
1. Is it possible to rent bicycles in Shari?
2. Is the peninsula very hilly (I know that the Shiretoko pass in 740 m, but the rest?)
3. Are the bycicles convenient?
4. is it necessary to revserve the accomodation in advance? Do you have any accomodation tips - I', looking for budget accoodation - campingsites with cabins, minshuku etc in Utoru, Iwanobetsu ...)
5. Is there a recommended cycling map? Where to buy it?
