Icoca and Haruka Pass - Kyoto and Osaka

I am traveling within a week in Japan.
I will go from Kansai International Airport to Kyoto upon arrival and depart from Osaka to Kansai International Airport, is the Haruka Pass round trip type suitable for me?
During departure from Osaka I need to go to Shin-Osaka station right?

Going to Shin-Osaka is not necessary. Despite what its name implies, the "Haruka" part of the Icoca & Haruka package is also valid on the Kansai Airport Rapid Service between Osaka Station and Kansai Airport.
