hello,
I would like to get a recommendations for what to do in two days in Hakone. Any nice hiking? Is too much time there? I am going to be there in mid-October

Are you into hiking? If you go in mid October, you may be just in time to see the pampas grass all in golden/silver colors :) That is near Sengokuhara, and would make a nice hike. Botanical Garden is not too far away.
On the other end of the lake (Hakone-machi) there is an old cobblestone path you can enjoy waling along as well. Hakone Checkpoint was interesting too.
There are some outdoor art museums that are worth spending time in - at least in my view - Open Air Museum, and Hakone Art Museum.
