Exchange rate

Hi!

I'm currently having my summer exchange in Hong Kong and will be flying to Osaka in a week's time. I was wondering if I should purchase yen in Hong Kong or wait till I get to Osaka before exchanging. I only have Hong Kong dollars and Singapore dollars with me right now.

Probably won't make a lot of difference.

For most, it's better to buy in Japan. But if you want to know for sure, you can see current exchange rates in Japan at:
http://www.narita-airport.or.jp/exchange_e/index.html
Just compare that to what you see where you are for your answer.

Generally, the exchange rates are poor in Japan. The main exception to the rule us USD, which is often better than in the US, and EUR is also quite good.
Any other currencies, it's a better rate outside of Japan.
