Hi, I'm planning to travel to gero onsen, takayama, shirakawago and kanazawa. So, is there any good recommendation on how should I travel to all these places? In addition, it will be great if I get to know the detailed transportation on how to travel to all these places( prefer travelling with jr pass)
I'm planning to use 3- 4 days for these places. Will it be too packed?
Thanks in advance! :)

Thks for your reply!
An addition question, then is jr pass cheaper and more convenience than those 'normal' single way trains since it can't be use to travel to these places? However, I'm planning to go to kyoto and osaka too... I'm quite confused about the validity of jr pass although I have read about it in this website. It seems like I need to pay extra if I'm going for Shinkansen...
Sorry for my broken English. Thanks in advance again!

then is jr pass cheaper and more convenience than those 'normal' single way trains since it can't be use to travel to these places?Gero to Takayama costs 970 yen, which compares to 29,100 yen for a 1-week Japan Rail Pass. However, I'm planning to go to kyoto and osaka too...The pass still won't pay off. Here are details about how to travel between Kyoto and Takayama: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e5908.html?aFROM=2158_5900And between Kyoto and Kanazawa: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e4208.html?aFROM=2158_2167Osaka is a few more kilometers west of Kyoto. I'm quite confused about the validity of jr pass although I have read about it in this website. It seems like I need to pay extra if I'm going for Shinkansen...It depends on the pass. But if you have the nationwide Japan Rail Pass, no supplement fees have to be paid as explained here: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2361.html
