Dear all. I see that there is Icoca & Haruka package round-trip for ~4000\ from/to KIX
1. Can i use it to: -one way KIX to Kyoto via Haruka -after 10 days from Shin-Osaka to KIX via Haruka (can I use it for the intermediate Kyoto-Osaka way with the left prepaid amount card?)
2.if one way KIX-Kyoto is ~2900, how come this package round-way can be only 4000 + some prepaid card? I'm confused?

1. Yes. As long as you travel back to KIX within a fortnight, you can use the round-trip. And of course you can use the Icoca card to pay for the trip between Kyoto and Osaka - that's the point of a travel card! You can use it for any train travel and subways (but not Kyoto buses). You can reload the card if it runs out of money, and refund the remaining balance at KIX before you leave. 2. I don't know what you mean? Read the following page for the full info: http://www.japan-guide.com/e/e2359_icoca_haruka.html

When you purchase a roundtrip ICOCA & HARUKA package (4060 yen), you pay 1030 yen on a one-day ticket for you to travel by JR from Kansai-airport Station, 1030 yen on a one-day ticket for you to travel by JR back to Kansai-airport Station and 2000 yen on an ICOCA Card (= 500 yen as a deposit + 1500 yen for e-money). The two tickets can be used on different days within 14 calendar days.
A one-way ICOCA & HARUKA package (3030 yen) does not include a ticket for you to travel back, and the ticket from Kansai-airport Station in a one-way package is valid on that day only.

Thanks! I have booked a card via the JR site already :)
I remember PASMO in Tokyo can be loaded via credit card on the machines, is it the same or you have to load it only cach?

Hi Omotenashi,
On your note: A one-way ICOCA & HARUKA package (3030 yen) does not include a ticket for you to travel back, and the ticket from Kansai-airport Station in a one-way package is valid on that day only.
By using the package, can i get off at shin-osaka, and get back on the train to kyoto after few hours spend at osaka on the same day?
thanks.

Sorry Omotenashi, one more question
By using Kansai Area pass-1 day pass, it says unlimited use of local JR in osaka, kyoto and kansai airport including unlimited use of Haruka between kansai airport and kyoto, is that mean i can travel from kansai to kyoto, get off and get on the haruka again to osaka on the same day without any extraa charges incurred?
appreciate your reply.

With a Kansai Thru Pass, you can get off at Osaka and then continue on to Kyoto later. You cannot do this with a Haruka ticket.
