Help to our itinerary in Japan

We would love some help to our itinerary, we have need help to the last part of our trip. We would like to stay away from big cities. So far we planned this-
4 sep TOKYO
5 sep TOKYO
6 sep TOYKO to KYOTO on Shinkansen
We have a conference in Kyoto for 4 days
7 sep KYOTO
8 sep KYOTO
9 sep KYOTO
10sep KYOTO
11 sep KYOTO-MT KOYA by train
12sep MT KOYA
13 sep MT KOYA to ?
14 sep ?
15 sep ?
16 sep /Tokyo Narita airport 9 am
Hope you have some suggestions for us, we would appreciate it!

I would recommend a day in Arashiyama and a day in Nara. These can both be done as day trips from Kyoto.

What kind of place do you want to visit afterv Koya?
Type of Old town?
World heritage?
Temple, Shrine etc?
Castle
Bwt Kyoto and Tokyo, there are many interesting spots.
I think you consider the theme first and then we will be introduce any spots
