The standard of the clothes of Japan are No. 9 and No. 11. I think shoes that's standard 23cm and 23.5cm. The size of Japan, No. 7, you are 22.5cm. Strawberry shop in Shinjuku Isetan Princess shop in Osaka Hanshin Department Store Crystal Sylph of Shibuya Marui Here are selling the No. 7 smaller than the size clothing. There seems to be a small size also occasionally Moussy. http://b.laso.jp/info/size.php gap kids Since up to 160cm, and choose the child size also might be good in some goods.

Our shoe size is the same. For me, it is 21-21.5 ( depending on style and brand ) in Japan. Most companies start women sizes from 22, but Junior sizes start at 20, and a lot of styles come in both Junior and Adult size. Japanese shoe size is based on your foot size in cm. Measure your foot before you go shopping. As for clothing, you seem to be Japanese size 4-5. I am size 00-0 US, so most garments swallow me. 5 is normally the smallest size available. Luckily its summer, so you can get away with a slightly oversized dress if you use wide belt. Tight fitting clothes are not that appropriate to wear in Japan anyways. Shopping from junior stores or international brands may give you more choice/option.

Thanks - I have found all these replies helpful. How about shops where I can get small clothes in a classic style e,g, skirts on or below the knee?

Thanks for the posts - all helpful. By the way, when I say classic, I mean clothes that are stylish but don't go in and out of fashion.
