Driving from Abashiri to Nemuro in 1 day?

I'm planning to rent a car from Abashiri station (8 am)to Shiretoko 5 Lakes, and drive on Shiretoko Pass to Nemuro and return the car at Nemuro station (8 pm). Is it doable in 1 day?

During summer season , it's no problem.
Perhaps your drive could take 7-8 hours .
But from November to April or May , the pass road is closed.
