By the itenirary we planed we are not sure if we need jr pass .
1 - Osaka to Kyoto
2- Kyoto
3-Kyoto
4- Kyoto - Nara
5-Kyoto - koyasan
6- koyasan- hiroshima
7- Hiroshima
8- Hiroshima - miajima
9- Hiroshima - Toyama
10 - Toyama - tateyama, (alpine route)
Shinano omachi- Matsumoto
11- Matsumoto - Tokyo
12- Tokyo
13 - hakune
14- Tokyo - narita airport

I will appreciate your comment . Do we need jr pass for 7 or 14 days?

At first glance, a 7-day pass for days 6-12 seems the best way to go.

But you might want to do Hakone before Tokyo to make full use of the pass.
Thats quite a number of days in Hiroshima. How about doing a day in Osaka. Since the JR Pass doesn't cover travel to Koya, you might as well do Koya first.

before we buy the jr ticket for 1 week i want to be sure that for the itenerary we planned, the jr for 1 week is good or maybe we should buy the 2 weeks pass. can you please help the confusion and explain?

1 - Osaka to Kyoto (I assume you are from KIX to Kyoto,3570 Yen Haruka)
2- Kyoto
3-Kyoto
4- Kyoto - Nara (1420Yen for round trip on JR Nara Local line)
5-Kyoto - koyasan (Don't think there is any JR line serving to Koyasan,only cost probably the JR line between Osaka and Kyoto, around 2000yen for round trip?)
6- koyasan- hiroshima (Again no JR running from Koyasan, so Osaka-Hiroshima about 10000-11000 Yen depending where you are)
7- Hiroshima
8- Hiroshima - Miyajima (Round trip to Miyajima Guchi 820 Yen)
9- Hiroshima - Toyama (16290 Yen)
10 - Toyama - tateyama, (alpine route)
Shinano omachi- Matsumoto (Shinano - Matsumoto Section 670 Yen)
11- Matsumoto - Tokyo (7000-10000 Yen depending on what train you take)
12- Tokyo
13 - Hakone (Tokyo-Odawara 7880Yen round trip, I believe JR will only take you as far as Odawara where you will need to change to other train that is not covered by JR pass)
14- Tokyo - narita airport (3220 Yen)

JR 7 days : 29110 Yen
JR 14 days: 46390 Yen
Total : 56870 Yen (at max cost)

However if you change one part of itinerary on your travel heavy section.

6- koyasan- hiroshima (Again no JR running from Koyasan, so Osaka-Hiroshima about 10000-11000 Yen depending where you are) Start JR 7 days here
7- Hiroshima
8- Hiroshima - Miyajima (Round trip to Miyajima Guchi 820 Yen)
9- Hiroshima - Toyama (16290 Yen)
10 - Toyama - tateyama, (alpine route)
Shinano omachi- Matsumoto (Shinano - Matsumoto Section 670 Yen)
11- Matsumoto - Odawara (11000-13000 Yen depending on what train you take, you need take other train from Odawara to Hakone I believe)

JR pass 7 days end by end of this day
12 - Tokyo
14- Tokyo - narita airport

From the day you start your JR pass on 6th day till the day you get back to Tokyo, max cost: 45670 Yen (approx.)
JR 7 days : 29110 Yen
JR 14 days : 46390 Yen
