2 days at Odaiba 2014/8/21 22:59
Hi,

Like to check if 2 days at Odaiba is too long? My flight will be arriving early in the morn. Intend to check in to Hotel Nikko for 2 days ,Disney for 2 days and central tokyo for another 2 days. I am looking at visiting the Toyota museum and the Gundam display there. Is there any places we could venture out from Odaiba?

I think it's a lil long. Any reason you must stay in Odaiba?

Will be bringing along a young toddler. Trying to reduce the amount of travelling by train as worry that the train will be too crowded for us to tag along a kid with stroller and luggage.

There's plenty to see and do in Odaiba for two days, don't worry. And you'll get to see a part of Japan where ordinary Japanese people go, as opposed to tourist spots. Legoland in Daiba (http://www.whereintokyo.com/venues/25409.html ) has fun things to do even for younger kids, and Kidzania up in Toyosu (an easy train ride) has stuff for kids from the age of three.

The Daiba Itchome Shotengai next to Legoland (http://www.whereintokyo.com/venues/25121.html ) is also a fun place to spend an hour, and they have a takoyaki theme area next to it....

I think 1-day is sufficient for Odaiba even if you bring you kids and walk slow. We took our 1.5 year old and 5-year old to Odaiba last year and spend there from 10am-9pm. There are certainly more things to do if you want, but we feel we have hit the main ones.
