Camping/Kayaking Takachiho Gorge

I am having trouble finding information about backpacking and camping in the Takachiho Gorge. I would also like to kayak the whole gorge instead of renting a row boat. Has anyone done this or have information about any of the above? Thanks in advance.

Since a rockfall in the past boating / canoeing isn't possible / allowed in the Gorge anymore.
I haven't seen a camp-ground there but if you are fine with Hotel, I can recommend this one:

It's only 10 or 15 minutes far away from the Gorge. Have a nice trip!

The official site says that the boats are operating normally. It seems they built a temporary staircase to bypass the damaged area.

Sorry for my misinformation! I haven't known that's possible again to rent a rowing boat there!
