Hi I plan to travel from Hakodate to Noboribetsu on Dec 22 in the morning, leave luggage at locker. Do you think it will be enough time (about 4 hours) to visit Hell valley and Oyunuma pond? In the evening around 5pm will take train to Sapporo and stay there.

4 hrs for Jigokudani Hell Valley and Oyunama should be fine. Next to Oyunama is the smaller Oku no Yu. If the snowy condition is not too bad you can even include Oyunumagawa Foot Bath. On the way there worth a photo stop is Taisho Jigoku. Back in town in Noboribetsu if you don't mind catching a later train to Sapporo, Sengen Park is beautifully illuminated after dusk during winter. The event usually starts early Dec and lasts till late March the following year. Below is the schedule for last winter. http://www.noboribetsu-spa.jp/?events=sengen&lang=en

Thanks William.
I will like to stay late to view the illumination. May I know where can I get the bus service timing info. I'm worry when will be the last bus that leave to the station.
