He was born in japan and been there until his elementary years, after that they moved out to his mother's country and they had just visiting Japan for a vacation twice a year.

he less talk, but hes a serious type when having a conversation. Sometimes when hes trying to share to me his beliefs or wants he always reminded me that its a Japanese thing.. I cant really read his mind. or what hes thinking...Id been dating the same nationality as mine but i can really say that its quite different dating a Japanese guy.. Approaches were really different.. that's why i want to understand.

I am also in an intercultural relationship with a Japanese guy and I too find there are deep differences in our ways, which we knew it would be the case from the beginning.

We can't do much about it if not try and explain ourselves when the other one doesn't know where we are coming from with our behaviour. Then sometimes we reach an agreement or mediate, sometimes we can only accept that in some things we cannot fully understand each other.

For me it's completely worth the extra effort!

Yo girl, unfortunately there is not receipt on how to make a person fall in love with you. Although there are some tips and tricks, but they're more like for picking them up :)
I can only tell you, that when I fell in love, it was always like... "THIS is the perfect person!"
The girl was just herself and I was just myself, so.. yes. The chemistry was just right. Do you understand what I want to say?

You cannot make another person fall in love with you. It is 100% up to them.

It does help if you are gentle, funny, open-minded, respectful of their privacy. Don't pressure them, don't expect them to phone/e-mail you several times each day etc.

Do NOT force them to stop doing the things they do that annoy you..

But it will still be their choice to love you or not..

Hi,

I think Japanese men are the same as most men. They fall in love with:
-- women who have their own lives outside of the relationship (active hobbies, friends, studies, etc)
-- women who can cook well. Impress him by fixing a meal for him.
-- a woman who takes pride in her appearance (dress well and be healthy)
-- a woman who loves sex. You don't have to act like a porn star. Just show that you love his body, or you enjoy having 'fun' with him. A woman who is willing to try new things in bed or just have fun will always keep his interest.
-- a woman who doesn't nag or complain. He's busy with work. Deal with it. When he does have time with you, or does something sweet for you, tell him right away how much you appreciate his actions.

Most of my guy friends always say: "Guys are simple" and they are. Best of luck!

-- a girl married to a Japanese husband.
