Takayama-kamikochi-Matsumoto

hello,
I would glad for help how to this route in one day: We want to leave Takayama in the morning to Kamikochi for few hours hiking and to continue to Matsumoto for staying the night.
What is the best way to do it?

There is a bus service from Takayama to Kamikochi a few times per day, but I would recommend you stay the night in Kamikochi and spend the time hiking beyond the area around Kappabashi; Kamikochi is really a gem and cannot be recommended enough.
