Hakone Onsen recommendations 2014/9/2 17:34
Any good onsen/ryoken recommendations in Hakone? We prefer one that have private (outdoor) hot spring bath and toilet, and in-room Japanese style dinner/breakfast?

Also try Lalaca at Gora. It is very special, though I cant remember whether the onsen that you can reserve is inside or outside. But generally if you book for a Monday to Wednesday, there are barely any people at the ryokans so you have the onsens to yourself most of the time. Also at Lalaca dinner is in the room, if you book it, but breakfast is in the dining room. The food is great - we stayed 4 nights and they did something different each night, and really looked after us.
