Bus service in towada lake

30Oct2014,we would like to go to Towada Lake.
1)Do you have the timetable of regular bus service between Nenokuchi and towada lake(Yasumiya )
(The last bus?, how often do the bus run?, Is it available for JR pass?)
2) Now, Is there only sightseeing boat around Yasumiya ?(courseB:Yasumiya to Yasumiya )
3)I would like to know taxi fare from Yasumiya to Hachinohe Station.

The section is covered buses between JR Aomori and Lake Towada and between JR Hachinohe and Lake Towada. They are covered by the JR pass and run approximately hourly.

That is correct.

It's a long journey. Expect it to cost around 17,500 yen.

1) The buses from Towadako(yasumiya) leave at 8:05, 9:15 10:20 12:10 12:15 13:20 14:30 15:05 15:20 15:40 and 16:00. arrive at Nenokuchi in 15 mins.
The last bus from Nenokuchi to Yasumiha leaves at 17:12

3)According to taxi calculator app, taxi fare costs about 24000 - 30000JPY 2 hours.

We will take Jr bus from Shin-Aomori station about11.40 to towadako about14.28
And we will travel around yasumiya by sightseeing boat
At 15.00.(because I knew cancellation of boat trip between yasumiya And Nenokuchi ?)
After that we will plan to take the bus from yasumiya station at 16.00to Nenokuchi station
I 'm not sure about if we will travel around Oriase stream
It might be late about 17.00-18.00. How we go back to the hotel in tawadako lake,again? ( taxi is available ??)

I took that bus and I remember taking it from Aomori Station and not from Shin-Aomori station. It may stop there too, but I don't recall. Please make sure you're aware of which station you're using. The bus originates at Aomori Station.

On second thought, it may stop there. I initially wanted to return to Shin-Aomori to catch the Hayabusa to Sendai, but instead took the bus from Towada-ko to Hachinohe and then boarded the Hayabusa there.

After that we will plan to take the bus from yasumiya station at 16.00to Nenokuchi station

Sunset is projected for around 16:30 so you may want to revise your plan to check out the Nenokuchi area on the following day. Also, there probably isn't a need to go to Nenokuchi at all if you don't plan on walking the Oirase Stream.

FYI, the JR bus originates at Aomori Station and then stops at Shin-Aomori Station on its way to Lake Towada.

I have been there in the winter a couple of times and I am not sure that the sightseeing boat operates.

Thanks yllwsmrf for the info! I was so psyched to go, I must have missed Shin-Aomori altogether! The buses do fill up quickly and there will be enough, since you have to buy the tickets in advance, they'll know how many buses to use. You may not get much choice at Shin-Aomori. There were people siting in the aisle on my bus. The aisle seat is a jump-seat attached to one of the regular seats in each row.

After lake towadako trip, We will travel at Oriase stream in a day if we can.
But I m not sure about taxi service from Oriase stream
(About 18.00)to hotel at towadako lake.(available and taxi fare?)

Sorry to bring bad news, but the winter schedules were just announced and it looks like JR Tohoku bus has cancelled all of the winter buses. Rental car is going to be the only way in now.
