Izu peninsula 2014/9/6 15:45
I have never been to Izu so deciding to do a day trip from Tokyo. Can anyone advise where and what to visit at Izu? Is it worth to go there for a day trip?

Izu is best known for its hot springs, though it has other things to see/do besides onsen. Japan-Guide has a list of attractions - have a look and see if any of these will pique your interest.

There's also a good deal of information on the JR East website, along with suggested itineraries.

I haven't done a lot of travelling in that part of the country, but I did swing by the MOA Museum of Art in Atami and I think it may be worth visiting - assuming you have an interest on the sort of things they have on display. Check my post below for more details.
