Daily bus Kumamoto-Takachiho

Hello! We are going to Takachiho from
Kumamoto by bus on 9 of October, Thursday.
From what I managed to gather, I still unsure as to if the bus is daily or goes only on weekends. Can someone please tell me?
And the second question: If there are buses only on weekends is it possible to get to Takachiho with a direct bus from Fukuoka (Hakata)?
