Getting a working visa in my own country? 2014/9/16 06:36
Hi everyone,
I'm going to Japan next month, I go three months as a tourist but I have some job interviews planned once I am there. As far as I knew, in case one of the companies hires me and sponsors my visa, I could stay there without a problem but a Japanese acquaintance said I will have to come back to my own country to get my working visa and then go to Japan again, anyone knows if things are like these?

If you find an employer, you have all the papers needed for application, and can apply before the initial status expires, you (with the help of the employer) should be able to apply for and change from your Temporary Visitor status to one of the work visa types, without leaving Japan.
