overstay for a thai national 1-2 days

hi our flight home were cancelled and as a result may need to be in tokyo an extra day,
i have sent an email to tokyo immigration re this matter and ask permission for my thai partner to stay in japan 1 or 2 extra day
what are your thoughts on this? will they reply with a simple No! or in cases like this 1 day extra is ok with proof of cancelled flight?

Go see immigration, in person, with proof of the cancellation. They *might* do something for you. However, it's absolutely your responsibility to leave by the date on your visa, so they may not.
If you overstay without permission, then I doubt you'll get back into Japan in the next 10 years.
