Any locker at Shirakawa Information Center? 2014/9/24 04:28
Hi,

I am planning to travel to Shirakawa around Christmas this year. I will be travelling from Takayama to Shirakawa in the morning, and travelling to Kanazawa in the evening. So, I am wondering if there is any place that I can temporary store my luggage at Shirakawa Information Center or Bus Stop? I was thinking to stay overnight there, but I couldn't find any website that I can do online reservation.

Any tips will help.

Thanks.

There are lockers at the main information center in Shirakawa-go. There should be plenty of lockers available if you arrive early in the AM. If not, I understand that the people in the information center may be able to hold your luggage (I've used the lockers but not the people at the info center).

Try japaneseguesthouses.com for reservations.

Another option is to use a luggage delivery service to send your luggage to Kanazawa, and live out of a day pack for 24 hours

We have done this and found it very convenient

Yes, there is locker at Shirakawago information centre.

I would recommend you to spend a night there if you have time. You can make the reservation via http://www.japaneseguesthouses.com/ryokan-search-results/?area=Shiraka... or another different site https://id3482.securedata.net/japaneseguesthouses/db/shirakawago/index... or you can email Shirakawago Tourism Association at info@shirakawa-go.gr.jp and request the minshuku of your choice. You can also call Shirakawago Tourism Association - www.shirakawa-go.org/english/e_hotel.html. I booked Kanjiya minshuku via Booking.com
