One way goes from \ 14,750 to \ 14,250, depending on whether you use the subway or a local train from Osaka to Shin-Osaka, which is where the Shinkansen station is.
There is no return ticket. Only one way tickets.
For 29,110 YEN you could get a 7 days JR pass that, BESIDES the Shinkansen, allows you to use JR trains in Tokyo and also Osaka...

Thank you for your reply.
Can I purchase ticket on the day at Shin Osaka or have to purchase it in advance?
Is it better to purchase the reserve seating or non-reserve seating is fine? If non-reserve how is the chance my husband and I can sit together? Thanks
