Buying a Suica card for 6 days in Tokyo 2014/10/2 15:35
is it advisable to buy suica card for use in trains within tokyo like shibuya,shinjuku,ningyocho,daimon,tsujiki,disneysea...we are staying in tokyo for 6 days.

Hi there.

The Suica card is really useful. It doesnt give any discounts but makes taking the trains in Tokyo easier as you only have to swipe the card over the ticket gate as opposed to buying individual tickets. The various day passes on offer could be good as well, just depends on where you are travelling each day and whether the price of the pass will pay off.

Yes. It makes rail travel much easier and quicker-no queueing for tickets: you just hold it near the sensor on the ticket-gate and walk through. You can also use it in many konbini (convenience stores), vending machines and for renting a locker if you need one.
