Mt. Ontake eruption

I will be visiting Hida Takayama in February 2015. Is Takayama affected by the Mt. Ontake eruption in whatever way? Is there any volcanic ash falling in Takayama? We are concerned about air quality. Is Shinhotaka Ropeway closed due to the eruption also? Thank You .

No, neither Takayama nor the ropeway have been affected, at all. And it is unlikely to change unless there is another, more major eruption which is unlikely.
