Lake Yamanakako to Kawaguchiko

I planning my vacation in Japan 1-10 November 2014
I'll go to Lake Yamanakako by bus (express way)from Tokyo station, Is it about 2 - 3 hrs? And I booked a hotel at Yamanakako for 1 night then I'll move to Kawaguchiko and stay for 1 night after that back to Tokyo by Keio bus from Kawaguchiko station to Shinjuku station.
so I have some questions.

- When I move from Yamanakako to Kawaguchiko which way is easy by bus or train? I'll go to Kawaguchiko in the evening and I don't know the schedule of train and bus. I can't find the information about that.

- How is the weather at Kawaguchiko (4-6 Nov) because I 'll prepare my clothes and it is the first time in Japan for me :)

Bus from Tokyo Station to Yamanakako is about 2.5 hrs whereas if you take the bus from Shinjuku the journey time is about 15 min shorter. But note that you can't take these buses from Yamanakako to Kawaguchiko directly.
