Oedo Onsen is better for entertainment (like a theme park). LaQua is better for relaxation (like a spa for adults).

I've only been to Oedo Monogatari but unfortunately I went on a saturday afternoon and it was fairly packed...not relaxing at all with kids running around.
I would only suggest going to Oedo if you're able to visit during the weekday (during work hours is even better).
