How to use 'because' (kara) in Japanese

I red in a textbook that in the japanese language they use "because" differently, for example in english I would say "I didn't call you because I was busy making blogs"
In japanese: Watashi wa isogashikatta(I was busy). kara(because)Watashi wa yobidasu arimasendeshita.
In japanese they are switched?
That means kara is more like the meaning of "so" or "that's why".

Kara goes on the end of the sentence it relates to, ie. Because I was busy,....
The reason is given first in Japanese. Koohii ga suki desukara, kafe ni ikimashita. Because I like coffee, I went to a cafe (or I went to a cafe because I like coffee).

BTW, if you want, you can use "nazenara" to keep the order.
Watashi wa yobidashimasen deshita (I didn't call you) nazenara (because) Watashi wa isogashikatta (I was busy) kara

I think I would use kara only because I got used to the order.
