Using hotel address in residence card

I'm going to work in japan in December.
My plan is to stay at a hotel first and find apartment to rent. I also want to open a bank account as soon as possible. But to open an bank account it seems I need to have an address in my residence card first. So can I use hotel address to register as an address in residence card?
Any suggestions are welcome.
