There are coin lockers, as in all major train stations.

Can a luggage be sent from our ryokan to Kyoto station in the morning to be picked up later say around 3pm?
We plan to visit around Kyoto in the morning after we checked out and if possible pick it up from the train station.
It would save us the trouble of carrying it around and the convenience of having to go back to pick it up from the ryokan.

Please note that according to regulations posted in the locker area, you are not allowed to store dead bodies in the lockers.
