Visiting Musashi Mitake Shrine in December

Hi,
I'm in Tokyo for 6 days during December and want to explore some rural areas just outside of the city.
I heard the Mitake shrine in Ome is great to visit, however I'm not sure if it's good to visit during December.
Anyone visited the shrine during that period?

Mitake shrine and Mt'Mitake is good place to visit in December!( L ` )
So even cable car to reach the top of Mt'Mitake will work to see the sunrise on New Year's Day.
In December ,Average maximum temperature of Mitake is 11.3.
And the average minimum temperature is 0.1.
And it is often snow so you should dress warmly.
