Kanazawa’s Omicho Market by JR bus

Hi,

I plan to use the JR Bus from Kanazawa Station to Omicho Mkt/Omicho Ichiba. Departure time is around 10.00 - 11.00am

I have this website but it's all in Kanji so I need confirmation of the schedule.

3. Is Omicho Mkt the 4th stop after Kanazawa Station when using the JR Bus?

4. Where is the bus stop? is it the one just in the corner of Omicho Ichibankan OR the one that is on the upper side of the road?

5. Also is there any JR Bus from Musashigatsuji Omicho Mkt stop to Ninjadera Hirokoji Bus stop? or is it only the Left Loop Bus serves that line?

Alternatively, it is less than 15 minutes on foot from the station to the market.

Also is there any JR Bus from Musashigatsuji Omicho Mkt stop to Ninjadera Hirokoji Bus stop? or is it only the Left Loop Bus serves that line

The closest JR bus stop to Ninjadera is Korinbo, from where it is a 15 minute walk to the temple:

thanks so much for the info. Strangely, the link you provided works perfectly fine in my browser. But when I open it directly from the web, the bus stop location won't show up and the timetables look like scrambled eggs :D that's why I need the confirmation from the forum

Is there only JR bus no 7 that goes to Omicho Market. Sorry it seems that my browser does not cooperate well so I could not open the links by myself.

I am happy to be shouted down, and will not be offended if I am, but if you have the opportunity to go to Tsukiji market in Tokyo, not even for the auctions, but around 9am, to look around and explore, then Omichio market pales into insignificance.
But that is just my humble opinion.
We went, and were disappointed.
We feel there are many other places of interest in which to spend your time in Kanazawa, our favourite city in Japan.

i'm open to any suggestion :)
well it's my first time in Kanazawa and we arrive just before lunch and we love a rice bowl topped w/ fresh seafood so we'd give it a try and it's along our route to other Kanazawa sightseeing spots too. hopefully we won't dissapointed as u do.

what made you feel disappointed w/ the market? is it the price or the quality of the seafood?

we ate in Tsukiji once and yes though it's fresh and really tasty, the price is on the higher side. We prefer Ameyokocho better in Ueno.

I personally love Omicho Market. Indeed, it cannot be compared to Tsukiji. If you expect a market in size like Tsukiji, you will certainly be disappointed. It is much smaller, but I also find it friendlier than Tsukiji. Most importantly, I had some of the best seafood dishes ever there. I remember the nodoguro, in particular (winter specialty).

Just want to reconfirm JR Buses that goes to Omicho Mkt since the timetable link you provide is for bus#6 Morimoto Station but the bus stop location is for bus#7 to Fukumitsu Stat via Morimoto. My browser also seems incompatible w/ the website.
1. are there any other JR Buses aside from these 2?
2. and all JR Buses depart from Platform no. 4 from Kanazawa Station East Exit
3. I also assume there is only Kanji writing for every stops for JR Buses (they don't provide the alphabetic writing as with the Loop Buses ones)

Omicho market is an absolute top destination for lunch in Kanazawa.
We had excellent quality chrashi there, at a good price, and without queueing for hours (cf Tsukiji).
It's also really handily located for Korimbo, Kenrokuen, the 21st Century Museum, the castle, etc.
