White snakes in Iwakuni

Im planning to visit Iwakuni this coming January. After reading about white snakes in Kikko Park, im not sure if they are only inside the museum or they are free in the park, slithering free through the grass

You won't find any in the grass - they'd freak out a large number of people. In January it may be quite chilly though. One of the best times to visit is actually in springtime - the cherry blossoms were very beautiful along the river. Thanks for your information. I could never convince my wife to go to Iwakuni had it loose snakes in the grass
