During May I will be flying to and from Hokkaido. To help with my planning can anyone tell me how long I should allow for check-in time at the two airports? I will need to check bags in.
Its not very clear on some of the airline websites. I was thinking of travelling Jetstar out of Narita.
Any help gratefully appreciated

For international flights, it is recommended to check in at least 2 hours in advance, although it is possible to check in later than that. Sorry, I don't have the details.
For domestic flights, you should check in at least 15 minutes before departure or 20 minutes if you have check-in luggage. During busy hours, it is recommended to check in earlier than the recommended minimum.

If you really had to reach Kawaguchiko that night, you could probably still get as far as Otsuki and catch a taxi from there (about 12,000 to 13,000 yen one way for the taxi ride).
