NIPPONBASHI to KYOTO

From NIPPONBASHI take the Sennichimae subway, go 1 stop to NAMBA. Change to the Midosuji subway, go 7 stops to SHIN-OSAKA station (much easier to change to the Kyoto trains there than at OSAKA station). Also there is no subway station named OSAKA. There are several other stations there, but they all have Umeda in their name. Use the ICOCA card when you enter the subway at NIPPONBASHI and when you get out at SHIN-OSAKA.
