I'm excited for the first time to Japan. And More excited when I see the Kikuchi Valley and Takachiho Gorge picture. Wonderful!
Can I go to Kikuchi Valley and Takachiho Gorge in one day by bus from kumamoto on 28 Nov.?
If yes, how to go there? Pls advice the bus# and bus schedule.
If no, could you pls advics the way and cost.

I am sorry to say there is no public transport to Kikuchi Velley. From Kumamoto to Takachiho gorge, there is only two buses per day. http://www.kyusanko.co.jp/sankobus/toshikan/takachiho/table/tt1.htmlActually, your only choice would be taking the first bus from Kumanoto station (ŒF–{‰w) which departs at 9:11 and arrives Takachiho at 12:09. Return bus departs at 16:31 and arrives Kumamoto at 19:26. Recent years most travelers take their own cars or rental cars to go these places, so the demands for bus seems to be decreasing.
