Using Bi-PAP for sleep apnea in Japan

I will be traveling to Japan with a Bi-PAP for sleep apnea. The Bi-PAP has an adapter/transformer that will take up to 240 volts. The Bi-PAP should operate OK with the Japanese voltage? The electrical cord has a polarized plug. Will I possibly need a non-polarized adapter for the plug?
