Worth it to use Kansai Thru pass in Kyoto? 2014/11/18 21:00
I'm staying in Kyoto, is that worth to use Kansai Thru Pass for 1 day trip? Planning to go Kinkakuji temple,Ninnaji temple, Nijo Castle, and Kiyamizu-dera only.
Thank you.

Use google map(get directions/transit) by right click(windows)/tap on map.
No need input locations name.

It is NOT worth it. In Kyoto a bus & subway 1-day pass is only Y1200. 2-day Pass is Y2000.

If my memory serves, in Kyoto buses are flat rated at 200/220 yen

So it takes about 6 buses to make it a worthwhile trip.
Kyoto station to Kinkaku
To Ninna
To Kiyomizu
Etc...
If you throw in back to station or to hotel it might just pay off. Maybe
