JR Kanto Pass with Gala Option

I want to use JR Kanto pass with Gala Option and on the return trip to Tokyo, I would like to board form Echigo-Yuzawa Station. Does anyone know if I am limited to only the trains that depart from Gala Yuzawa or can i use any bullet trains that depart from Echigo-Yuzawa?

You may board any shinkansen at either Echigo-Yuzawa or Gala Yuzawa to get back to Tokyo.

On the JR East Kanto Pass + Gala aption webpage, they added a Joetsu Shinkansen Schedule leaving from Gala Yuzawa. So return trip to Tokyo is not restricted to just these trains?

I remember that somebody (possibly myself - I can't remember) checked with JR East, and they answered that the pass can also used from Echigo-Yuzawa instead of Gala Yuzawa. In that case, I am sure it is not just limited to the trains from Gala Yuzawa.
