Going to Japan 17 days with 100k yen 2014/12/15 16:45
Hello! I'm going to Japan in exactly two days (very excited!). I'm bringing about 100k yen with me and I'll be there from the 18th of December to the 4th of January. Considering that JR pass and hotel/hostel is already paid for, and I wasn't planning on going to restaurants really, is 100k yen enough?

Additional info: I'll be in Kyoto for a week, and Tokyo the rest of the time.

PS: if you tell me it's totally not enough, I'm kind of screwed I guess and will go into a panic selling belongings to get last minute money D:

It should be enough to eat and sightsee, but you won't be able to eat extravagantly and/or do much shopping. And I hope you have access to emergency money (like a credit card) just in case to tap into.

I don't know about Tokyo and Kyoto, but in the places I go to, that would be considered plenty. I could easily survive a month with that.
