Nikko in winter 2014/12/18 13:22
Hello everybody,

I am planing to visit Nikko at the end of this December, especially the World heritage sites and Okunikko area.
However, I am worrying about the snow.
Would the train or bus will not work if there is a snow or worse ?

Thank you so much!

BTW, sorry this is off topics, we visited Nikko around on Dec 25 before, there was unbearable cold because we took off our shoes and walked on icy floor in temples. You may want to wear heavy socks doubly.

I will also say that Okunikko gets unbearably cold. It's already freezing and the wind chill is awful, so make sure you are warm and also protect your face.

Thank you very much for your recommendations.
Maybe I will go.
How about the bus and train ?
Do you know that in case of heavy snow, they stop working or not ?
