Takayama to Narita with stop at Gora using JR

When travelling to stay at Gora from Takayama is it best to go as far as Odawara as we want to purchase Hakone pass Also after 1 night stay we need to go straight to Narita from Gora What trains should we use

Yes, Takayama to Nagoya on the Wide View Hida, then Shinkansen from Nagpya to Odawara, then Hakone free pass to Gpra.
From Gora to Narita, use the Hakone free pass to return to Odawara, then Shinkansen to Shinagawa, and Narita Express to narita
Shinagawa is a much easier transfer than Tokyo.
use www.hyperdia.com, uncheck Nozomi etc, and work out your times and actual trains.
You can reserve all your seats in advance, so that can be done in Takayama.
