Hi everyone,
I was searching through this forum but couldn't find any updated info. Can someone tell if there is any bus that can take me from Todaiji Temple back to JR Nara Station or Kintetsu Nara Station?
May I know where is the bus stop and the bus number to take?
Thanks so much for the help!

Looking at the map, the bus stop is about halfway between Todaiji and the Kintetsu Nara station. From the bus stop it is about 1/3 of a mile (600 meters) to the station so you can probably walk the whole way. If you take the right route, there is a famous garden, Isuien, between Todaiji and the bus stop. It's shown on the JNTO Tourist map. I can send you a link to a detailed map if you are interested.

And right next to Isuien is a smaller garden with free entrance for foreigners! (Must show passport) It ended up being my favourite garden on the whole trip, but I did see it in full autumn colour.

I went to this free garden because the bigger one next door was closed and i also really enjoyed it. Would recommend to others too. I visited it during sept.

You can easily walk to Todaiji from JR or Kintetsu Nara - about 20 mins. It is signposted from the station. If you want to take the bus - No. 1, 2, 6, 52, 70, 88, 89, 97, 98 or 133 from JR or KintetsuNara Station and get off at Daibutsuden Kasugataisha Mae. It's a 5-minute walk from the bus stop. Enjoy!
