Hieizan/Enryakuji visit - pass to use? 2015/1/21 23:16
Hi.

When I go Kyoto, I plan to visit Hieizan / Enryakuji for day trip. Will travel from central Kyoto to Demachiyanagi, but will make a stop at Ichijoji for ramen (Takayasu).

I want to know, what is the best pass for me to use? If I get Surutto Kansai Pass, can I use it from Kyoto up to Hieizan and down to Sakamoto, then go back Kyoto?

Or should I get the Hieizan Summit Pass by Keihan? What is the Summit Pass in Nihongo? I'm afraid station people don't know what I want if I say in English.

Thanks.

I read on the English site of Keihan Railway..

http://www.keihan.co.jp/travel/en/recommed_tickets.html#ticket03

But it doesn't say what the pass is known in Japanese. Unless.. it's Sa-mi-tto Pas-su.. XD
