Kyoto Cherry Blossom 2015

Hey Japan Guide, this website has been so helpful with my research on Japan travels. Kudos! I'm new to this, u see. My family and I will be going to Okinawa late March 2015, was wondering, when will be the best period to go to Kyoto to catch the full bloom Cherry Blossom season? Arigato!

If they are right - and they often were not - then the first week of April will be good this year.

The forecast released this week suggests 2nd to 10th April for Kyoto.

Hi Japan Guide, thank you for the update. There has been a change of plans. We're flying straight to Osaka & not going to Okinawa. Couldn't get hotel in Kyoto, hence gonna stay in Osaka instead & take a train down to Kyoto & Kobe. Guess, Osaka, Kyoto & Kobe share the same Sakura dates? 😎
