JR pass or individual tickets

Hi all,
I will be travelling to Japan in April (flying into Osaka- 2 nights then to Kyoto 4 nights then to Tokyo 4 nights and flying out from Tokyo) In between, I am planning to do side day trips to Nara, Hakone and Mount Fuji.
May I know if it's more worth it to get the JR pass or buy individual tickets along the way?
